Happy Anniversary! What We Learned After 1 Year of Podcasting

Here's to one year! In today's anniversary episode, we're brutally honest about what it has been like starting and continuing a podcast.
In this first year, Racquel's favorite episode was the one with Chelsea Briggs! The Self-Love episode came out at the perfect time, it was when we had all realized that we weren't getting out of the pandemic anytime soon! It's something that was needed! Chelsea is also someone that Racquel has looked up to for years.
For Natasha, Chelsea Briggs was a big one, but she can't choose a favorite! She loved the Mashley Comedy episode because it was just SO funny and so much fun! It was such a blast to record!
One of the best things about this past year is seeing some of our guests grow! Like Sammy Arriaga who is currently blowing up on TikTok or Ashley Nicole Moss who is on TV! It's amazing to see that even though this last year seemed to be at a stand-still, things were still happening for people!
In this last year, we have talked about music, anxiety, self-love, millennial problems, social media, body image, and so so much more! We've had incredible guests, we've had guests that we kind of regret (listen to the episode for all the tea), and of course, we've had fun!
Some lessons we have learned this last year are:
It is SO hard to now be in charge! We had been in charge of people before, but it's different! With our interns, we want to be the bosses that we never had.
Getting great equipment has been a learning process too. We aren't in the perfect environment to record, but we're using trial and error!
We've learned a bit about TikTok and Insta Reels! Insta Reels came out after our podcast, so it has been something new.
We're learning about ourselves and what we are capable of.
Sometimes, we need to take a step back to help with inspiration.
We are thankful for you! Thank you for being with us this last year! Looking back at this year, we really don't have any regrets! We wish we would have learned things sooner, but we don't regret it. We cannot wait to see what this next year has in store for us!
