From The Eyes Of A Listener
Updated: Oct 30, 2020

Hi everyone! I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lupita Serrano and I live in a little town in Illinois. I'm currently a graduate student, a tennis coach, and I recently became an intern for Millennial Girls Podcast too!
I wasn't much of a podcast listener a few months ago, I would just put on some music and do homework. That is until I discovered this podcast. From the moment I listened to the first episode, I just knew I had to keep following along. Natasha and Racquel are so down to earth, caring, and honest which had me gravitate towards them.
This podcast is genuine, authentic, and open. It talks about topics that are often seen as taboo to mention in public. Some topics are being talked about more in daily life, but not to the extent that they should be. There's still stigma attached to these topics, yet Natasha and Racquel talk about their struggles with mental health issues, which takes courage. By hearing their stories, listeners can relate and see that they are not alone.
The girls also talk about issues that women have in life, like being treated differently just because of our gender. Two months ago, I had a man refuse to ask me a question just because I'm a woman, even though I was the one in charge and the man had no idea how to answer. I'm sure many women have also encountered this.
Not only does this podcast speak about real-life topics, but it also gives us a bit of the behind-the-scenes of the entertainment industry. We've heard from Sammy Arriaga, who auditioned for American Idol, Party Favor, who is a DJ/producer, and Vinny Ventiera from the Bachelorette! We were able to get to hear from these people, listen to stories, and learn from them.
Natasha and Racquel put so much work into this podcast, and it is so easy to see that they are both dedicated into making this podcast the best it can be. As someone who has been following along for a few months, I'm excited to see how far this podcast will go in the future. I'm excited to watch this podcast grow and begin to make an impact on hundreds of people. This podcast can and will make a difference in the lives of people.
